Quick observations on the charts that caught our eye this week.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n\r\n

This week’s flash covers Nikkei 225, EUROSTOXX50, DAX and Brent.<\/p>\r\n

Brent loses 12.0% and breaks the support at 96. EUROSTOXX50 (+0.52%) and DAX (+0.87%) close positive: DAX outperforms, but both European indices show a range narrower than last week and closes far from the weekly highs. Nikkei 225 closes at +4.72% with new all-time records on both high and close.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n

Let’s dive a bit deeper.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

In last week’s Charts Flash<\/a> the 112-120 bear zone remained the upper reference and the 96 area the key support on the downside. The bearish outside week was read as the first sign of weakness after weeks of pressure toward the bear zone.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

This week the move violently confirms last week’s signal of weakness. Open 97.50 (gap down -5.83% on last week’s close), low 89.93, close 91.12. Weekly change -12.00%, body at -6.54%, range 8.76%. Lower highs and lower lows.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The break of the 96 support triggered an acceleration down to the weekly low at 89.93, where the MA20W provided a first provisional support.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The weekly candle remains contained within the one of April 17, when the low in the 86 area had triggered the subsequent bullish wave.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The 8.76% range remains below the period averages. The Volatility Indicator, after last week’s drop, climbs back to 28.43%, in line with the values observed in April and May.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The MA20W holding and 90 as a weekly close remain the references for a recovery, in a geopolitical context oriented in the opposite direction.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n

In last week’s Charts Flash<\/a> the bullish outside bar had brought the close back to 6,019.45 (+3.46%), with the weekly high at 6,036.46 still below the relative-high references. An attack on the highs was indicated as a hardly avoidable outcome.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

This week the candle shows higher highs and higher lows but with minimal progress. Open 6,045.37, high 6,144.64, low 6,023.26, close 6,050.54 (+0.52%), range 2.02%.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The high at 6,144.64 broke above the relative-high reference (close 6,057.71 from 6 weeks ago), but the bulls failed to hold the level into the close. Upper shadow of 94.10 points against a body of just 5.17: the break came without follow-through.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The configuration echoes the February 2026 top: positive outside candle followed by a bullish candle that fails to extend. The sequence returns now with last week’s outside followed by the current candle, in the same context of lower highs that has characterized the February-May period.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

If the configuration confirms the parallel with February, the coming week should print lower highs and lower lows and a negative body. The system, without new breaks, stays Short: the stop loss has not been triggered, but repeated attempts at breaking the relative highs keep the pressure on the position.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n

In last week’s Charts Flash<\/a> the positive-body outside bar had closed at 24,888.56 (+3.86%), with the high at 24,943.75 still below the 25,152 reference. The same behavior seen on EUROSTOXX50, and the same indication: an attack on the highs as a hardly avoidable outcome.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

This week DAX breaks 25,152 at the open and prints 25,438.41 on the high, but it is rejected by the 25,500 area and brings the close back to 25,104.70 (+0.87% on last week’s close), once again below the break level. Open 25,181.27, low 25,040.45, range 1.59%.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

DAX retains more strength than EUROSTOXX50, with the high breaking above the reference that recent weeks had failed to clear at the open, but the closing dynamic is weaker: unlike EUROSTOXX50, DAX does not hold close > open (negative body of 76.57). The weekly range collapsed to 1.59% from 4.82% last week.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

DAX’s recent action shows a recurring sequence of tops with range contracting versus the previous weeks and a visible upper shadow, which has resolved on multiple occasions with a retracement.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The system, without closes above 25,152, stays Short.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n

In last week’s Charts Flash<\/a> the bullish candle (+3.14%) had brought the close to 63,338.85, a new weekly close record but with lower highs and lower lows than the previous candle. The break of the all-time highs was indicated as an easily reachable outcome.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

This week the break materializes. Open 63,658.95, high 66,505.02, low 63,562.51, close 66,329.28 (+4.72%). Body +2,670.33 (+4.20% on the open), range 4.63%, higher highs and higher lows, close > open.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The weekly high at 66,505.02 breaks the previous all-time record at 62,713.65 by 3,791.37 points (+6.05%) and the close at 66,329.28 also sets a new record. The body covers 90.7% of the range: the opposite of the dynamic seen on EUROSTOXX50 and DAX, where the upper shadow was longer than the body.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The Volatility Indicator is expanding again.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The MA200W overextension at the weekly high reaches +66.90%, a new all-time record.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The system takes the stop loss. The record value of the MA200W overextension (+66.90%) statistically removes any margin for a new long entry: at these levels there are no historical references for further upside extension and the risk\/reward is skewed to the bear side. According to the system’s metrics the break therefore has a higher probability of turning into a bull trap than confirming as a structural breakout.<\/p>\r\n\r\n
